2006 Thoughts

Things going on and changing.

usa 2006 has been a pretty eventful year for me full of changes and events. My sister became the first of my siblings married AND PREGNANT now. I ended up on HBO Real Sports with my friends. I moved into my first house situation and now I'm having to investigate career options.

Gina and Bryan married and now kids

About 6 months or so ago we went to the Smoky Mountains to watch Gina and Bryan get married. About two weeks ago my sister now announces they're having a baby. She's the fist in our siblings to do both of those things and we're wishing all the luck in the world for her.

Moving into a house

At first moving into a house didn't seem like such a huge thing. Just bigger than an apartment and more private. However since Michelle and I moved here I've learned all about drainage, heaters, roofs, fireplaces, wiring, breaker boxes and probably several other things I've forgotten about. Its been alot of work but we're very happy

Career Choices Changing

I've worked hard with the company I started out in the Computer world with. At InsiderLabs I've been central in developing the College Toolbars, AdCertainty and NameSeek. I've programmed thousands of lines of code in probably a dozen different programming languages. I've learned so much but now I've come to a pass and have to consider other options. Luckily I've been learning C# and Microsoft based technologies that are going to be instrumental in me mixing it up with what people are moving to now. So everyone take note that there is a Experienced Computer Program Developer for hire in Baton Rouge.

JerryOdom.com Website

I've worked a deal on this website during the past year or so. In late 2005 there wasn't much to this website(40 pages and less than 200 visitors per day) and I decided that I'd see how many people I could draw to it by simply adding pages of content and developing the existing sections a little here and there. Here at the end of 2007 there are nearly 700 daily visitors with about 300 pages. This number has been rapidly rising as of late due to the structure really coming together. I'll be excited to see how well it does in 2007. I'll probably really start working on my IT section which I haven't done much of.
