I watched the re-opening of this
downtown Baton Rouge Hotel lastnight on a local television telecast. I must say that they took what was a
total disaster and made it into something beautiful. If you've ever been to Tsunami's balcony and looked off to the right you saw a big torn up building that
used to be a hotel that Huey P. Long and even Fidel Castro stayed in. For decades it was a big piece of junk. Now with the renovation of downtown Baton Rouge its once
again a very nice looking hotel.

Downtown Baton Rouge Is Here
They've done alot to rebuild and bring people back into downtown Baton Rouge and its worked. Many of my friends and I frequent the downtown establishments now days where as
5 years back we'd stay away from the area. They've made the area safe, created weekend events and created a very pleasent atmosphere through improvements and new construction.
