I've just finished having my Comfortmaker heater repaired in Baton Rouge. Not because I found a great heating technician to come out and diagnose the problem with my central air but because after getting the run around for so long with Baton Rouge a/c and heater repair people I figured out how to fix it myself before I could get them to come take my money and fix my problem. Can we say wow? I've had all the success with the Baton Rouge A/C repair companies that I'd expect from a bad used car dealer between here and no place.
Robbie Theriot's AC & Heating repair service was recommended by a friend of a friend. Their technician came out, diagnosed the problem, didn't solve the problem and told me he'd call me back to come fix the problem. He never called me back but at least I didn't pay him anything at that point. So after a week and some noise from a freezing girlfriend I simply purchased the part(a commonly available heater igniter) and replaced it. The heater worked again but seemingly when it felt like it.(not totally fixed) I gave up on hearing from Theroits so I next called Breaux's heating and air. Breaux's called me back but was very busy and had lost his helping technicians so he wouldn't be able to get to me for a few days. I at least told him his website was about to expire with his registration company and gave him help with that. I may actually end up taking care of his web problems in trade for heating & ac work. So I called 3 or 4 other companies and none of them called me back until I came upon Southeast Heating & AC. One of their technicians called me back and gave me some tests to run on my heating to attempt to diagnos my problem. I ran those tests and fixed the problem. While this might sound like a good thing it really isn't. Why is this bad? Because I'm looking for heating and air conditioning service not some person trying to help me solve the problem myself. I'm a Computer Science graduate with electric experience none of which I divulged to these people. Please just come to my house and solve my problem. I imagine that most inexperienced people in Baton Rouge are doomed when trying to find someone to service their home. |
