LSU Basketball is Elite

Elite 8 For the Tigers

lsu basketball I'm writing this about 30 minutes before watching the LSU vs. Texas game thats about to come on for the beginning of the Elite 8 games in the NCAA mens basketball tournament. The LSU women just downed Depaul to move on to the Elite 8 once again for them and man what a season its been for basketball with the Tigers. 2005-2006 college basketball for LSU has been an absolutely wonderful year. I really wish I'd picked up LSU basketball tickets like I'd preached to everyone else.

LSU to Elite 8:

Sometimes is so good to be wrong when predicting the tournament and filling out your ncaa tourney bracket. I had LSU losing to Duke in their sweet 16 matchup and I don't mind being wrong. LSU went out there and took control of Duke sending Sheldon Williams and JJ Reddick home early once again. I had Duke winning the whole tournament and I'm so happy my bracket is busted.

Sylvia Fowles and Tigers win again

LSU's women are quickly becoming the whole franchise in women's basketball. Its like if they don't make it to the Elite 8 its a disappointment and thats a standard of excellence thats something to be proud of. We're losing Simone Augustus this year but you can be sure that coach will put together another winner year after year. I just hope the girls are cutting down the net at the end of this years NCAA womens tournament.
Garrett Temple is my new favorite Tiger

Tyrus Thomas put up the big time blocks, Big Baby did his thing but Garrett Temple absolutely put down JJ Reddick. He rode JJ for 40 minutes straight and absolutely stunted him. The absolute best player known for his ability to make shots, move to create space and just play. Garrett made a name for himself and we're happy he's just a freshman.

Tyrus Thomas to the NBA for 2007

Its almost certain that Tyrus Thomas will be going professional at the conclusion of this season. LSU isn't addressing it because they're worrying about playing in the tournament right now. Tyrus is projected to go in the top 5 for the NBA draft lottery and he's most certain to go. Nobody can blame the young mand but we'll miss him.

LSU vs. Texas Game

This is a hell of a match up. Texas is a versatile big team that can play with anyone in the country. We'll just have to see what happens Gotta watch the Texas game...Jerry W Odom Jr. March 25, 2006
