Examined business opportunities and formulated solutions for maximum company profit. Worked with external business units to formulate solutions to business to business projects. AdCertainty.com -A fully functional large scale PPC search engine which has handled upwards to 250,000 daily requests.
Development of a behavioral Pay Per Click advertising system designed to significantly boost revenue produced from inventory of parked domain names. Installed original PHP, Perl and Javascript software then developed innovative approach to returning user search results based on the conditions of interaction with system.
Researched and developed multiplexing Perl & Apache system on Linux for retrieving and processing search results from dozens of providers that increased system capacity by at least 20 times original capacity. Developed a system for efficiently blocking millions of fraudulant search sources in real time.
Developed then continuously managed a large MySQL database storing millions of system/user interactions for reporting, trend tracking, better search results and improved system value to the company. This included a host of interactive reports allowing needed access to data and statistics that maximized company profits. Reports were delivered in PHP.
NameSeek.com - A system offering the re-sale of premium domain names.
Worked as part of a 7 person team developing a system to build a multi-million dollar inventory of premium domain names. Researched sources of domain data, methods for determining their value and lead in developing a programmatic system for acquiring domains using Perl, Visual Basic and web based programmer interfaces.
Developed system for generating website templates and programmatically interacting with Ad feeds. Managed server uptime and domain hosting.
CollegeToolbars.com - A suite of officially licensed toolbars designed to attract use from students, alumni and fans of large national universities.
Team development of officially licensed toolbar packages designed to attract use from students, alumni and fans of large US universities. I was lead on researching the use of Advanced Toolbar Studio and supported the junior development team in use of the tool to produce product line. I developed a system in which the toolbars would interact with a PHP/mySQL based website via Ajax.(javascript) We also did some custom work to the source of the toolbars in which I used Visual Basic in a .NET 1.1 environment. The website itself featured a custom bookmarking setup which I customized in PHP.
Hands on promotion in the use of the system. Worked with other businesses as well as individual users. Recorded over 100,000 downloads and over 5,000 registered users.
Communicated with various anti-spyware companies to establish status of toolbar as non-spyware.
