Yeah I've Been Busy
Learning, Brewing, Chilling, etc..
Don't you love how everytime you run into someone you haven't seen in a
while it always comes to "I've been busy". Most of the time you mean that
you can't think of what the hell you've been up to. True enough. Lately I've
been able to tell people I've been busy for a reason.
Learning Microsoft .NET 2.0 Development
Well as most know I now work at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. For the last four months I've split my time between learning their systems and learning how to improve existing systems using the latest development tools. Programming Web Service and using an insanely cool too known as SQL Server Intergration Services. SSIS is a tool that makes hours into minutes and minutes into seconds. It's truly the horse of Enterprise.
Developing Websites
Believe it or not when I'm not programming computers I'm building stuff for the web. Working on Best of Baton Rouge, Live After Five and prospecting on other possible endeavours.
Brewing Beer
Some close friends and I fell into the millenia old practice of brewing beer. It's been great fun and educational on one of America's favorite pastimes. As Ben Franklin said "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to prosper".
Chilling
That's right I've been just hanging out. Splitting time between watching my big screen and working out when I'm not doing the above. Believe it or not the guy that weighed 135 lbs when he graduated high school is working hard to get under 180 lbs.
All in all life is good. Gina will be a mom soon. I'm feeling old.
