Fight Reviews and Predictions

ufc 70 So here we go with UFC 70 two weeks after UFC 69. Wow these guys are working overtime on these productions. Factor in that they've purchased Pride and they're really blowing up. Impressive. The UFC can see they're getting hot so they're pushing it and hard.

Giving away UFC 70 is a really interesting move. People are talking about MMA and specifically the UFC. People who don't watch yet are interested and asking about it. Giving people a chance to see what their flagship product is all about for free is a great tactic. They have literally all the room in the world to grow and they're taking advantage of it.

The card is a great lineup. Showcasing great fighters that produce big action. I don't see a probable slow fight on the whole card. People are going to love the action here.

Mirko Crocop vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

A very interesting pair of fighters with the winner getting a shot at Randy Couture. You have to think that Mirko is a huge favorite on the betting line but I wouldn't count Gonzaga completely out of this one. He's a big strong JiuJitsu guy with a history of being able to knock people out. If he does his homework and is careful he can win this one. I'd say Mirko wins this fight 3 out of 4 times.

David Heath vs. Ryoto Machida

Finally I get a chance to see Machida fight. Many might say "who" but just look the guy up at Sherdog. He's beat a long list of great opponents but he hasn't gotten a whole lot of press. Something must be up with that. He's in against Heath who's beaten a list of quality fighters himself.

From what I've seen of Machida my money is on him. Knocking out Franklin & Bonnar. Beating BJ Penn is a decision. He can fight. I'd take him at 3 to 2.

Michael Bisping vs. Elvis Sinosic

Bisping is getting a good tune up match against the King of Rock and Rumble. Sinosic keeps finding himself back in the UFC. The guys got abilities and size he just loses all these fights. I'd take Bisping at 2 to 1 but definitely won't count Sinosic out.(ask Jeremy Horn)

Andrei Arlovski vs. Fabricio Werdum

I'm pretty amazed at how little we're hearing about Arlovski now days. At one point people were declaring him unstoppable. Now he's quietly climbing back up the heavyweight ranks. I think he'll knock Werdum out in the first or second round. No doubts.
