Baton Rouge Night Clubs

Baton Rouge isn't renowned for its clubbing experience however we do have some dance clubs and a couple of really good places to go see live music. Many places feature live music early and then a late night dance club scene.

  • Triple A Bar - This place is also known as "The Funny Bone" because they have comedy shows early and late night dancing. Located just off of College drive.
  • The Varsity Theatre - The Varsity is one of the best places to enjoy night life in Baton Rouge. It shares a building with the well known Chimes restaurant at the south gates of LSU. The Varsity hosts big names in music in live events and has a great late night dance scene. A popular place with 21+ year old LSU students and locals.
  • Click's Billiards - Though this place is a pool hall & bar normally they host pretty big alternative bands on weekends. Great place to see live music.
  • The Caterie - They boast that they've got live music 7 days a week and its true. They have a "Monday Night Band" thats killer. The place is kind of small and old but thats part of its charm. Fun placed and a good crowd.
  • The Texas Club - A really large country music venue thats popular with locals from the surrounding area of Baton Rouge. Kind of a country music clubbing experience. Country music fans are so confused now days. I wouldn't suggest this place if you're an out of town visitor.
  • The Spanish Moon - Located between downtown and LSU off of Nicholson drive. They host alot of local bands matching the tastes of LSU students.
That about covers the club scene. I have most other places listed in my Baton Rouge bars page or on the Clubs & Venues page at DMOZ that I edit. Many other places host music and have a dance floor the size of a medium sized bathroom but I don't list them here. However if I forgot something let me know.
