Problem With Starbucks
I am venting on greedy Starbucks coffee company.

Interesting that Starbucks comes
into my sights this evening because I was looking for something to write
about. This evening after working on my
1969 Ford Mustang project I decided to stop and write about it in my
Vlog at the local Starbucks. I decided to stop there for a change as I
haven't really been a fan of their coffee but it was there and relatively
empty. Now I know exactly why...
Money Hungry = No Free Internet at Starbucks Yes the $800 million dollar Starbucks coporation can't even provide a free wireless internet connection like every other coffee house in the country. Instead they've got to set up a partnership with T-Mobile to charge unsuspecting users for a service thats practically free everywhere else. I wonder how many uneducated users have signed up with them to use this when they could head down the road to a local coffee house, buy their coffee at half the price and enjoy free Internet. People are such sheep. Speaking of Local - Starbucks loses lawsuit Starbucks decided to Sue the pants off of a New Hampshire local micro roastery that made their own brand of coffee under the name "Charbucks". One hole in the wall coffee store with totally different imagery and only a similar name and they sent more lawyers after them than Charbucks probably has employees. They lost the suit that shouldn't have even been brought forth in the first place. I'm all about people protecting their property but when you have your own platoon of lawyers you don't need a judge to let you know that you're absolutely full of shit. They were just trying to be the bullies they are so good for Charbucks. I guess setting record setting earnings this year wasn't enough for them they had to try and put you guys out of business too. If they had any right to the name Starbuck shouldn't they be suing Battlestar Galactica as well? |
I swear their service has been the worst at every local Starbucks I've gone to. They have 7 people back there who can't pour a single cup of coffee in less than 5 minutes and thats their only job? CC's Coffee has pretty great hiring practices and they work like a team so I know its not just the people in the coffee business. Starbucks also has the worst tasting coffee but the most business? Why? People even tell me they prefer other places but they go to Starbucks because its closer?(by about a block) I suppose the real secret is to put a store on every corner or opportunity and take advantage of how damn lazy Americans really are. Brilliant!
Boycott Starbucks
Or I guess I should say screw starbucks since most people can't spell Boycott. I'm not going there ever again out of convenience especially if I can't use the Internet. I'm proud of myself that it took this long for me to realize they suck. It means I haven't been going there but have been sticking to good local places like Charlies Coffee, Our Daily Bread and even CC's is better. People please, smarten up and stop going to shady operations like Starbucks, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, etc.... Quality of life is important so don't let places like these bring yours down.
